"After 22 plus years, I opened Aqua Mortgage. I took the good, the bad, the ups, and the downs and chose to create a solution.  A solution that would bridge the gap created during the mortgage crisis started in 2007. Prior to 2007, lenders had programs in place to help all obtain homeownership. Unfortunately, during this time, the rules and regulations in place today did not exist. The lack of rules promoted careless lending that led to a high number of defaulted loans.  Numerous banks and mortgage companies had to either close their doors or were bought out by larger companies.  Lenders turned their backs on the underserved and subprime lending ceased to exist. I am grateful for the rules put in place as it created accountability and structure.  However, my passion, my mission, and the foundation that Aqua Mortgage is based on is helping all, which includes the underserved.  Here at Aqua Mortgage, we do not say no. We educate, promote, and create a pathway personalized for everyone to reach their goal of homeownership. I am "The Mortgage Waymaker" and here at Aqua Mortgage we find a way.
